Who is CampOwl for?

CampOwl is for people who camp with an EV, from a short weekend close to home to an extended overlanding expedition. It keeps your gear, meals, and power in one plan, shared with whoever comes along.

Plan it. Pack it. Get home.

Bring your spots with you. Import waypoints from onX Offroad as a GPX file.

Plan it before you pack.

Start with the place and dates. CampOwl builds the packing list and the night sky from there. Share when ready. Joining and your first hosted trip are free. Pro hosts unlimited shared trips.

The CampOwl Review tab showing the power plan and drive-home verdict

Know you can get home.

See whether your battery lasts each night and leaves enough charge for the drive home. Pro adds the full water, propane, and payload calculators. Pro also reminds you to set your charge limit to 80 percent of the outlet’s rating, so the vehicle never draws more than the outlet can give.

The CampOwl Meals tab showing a day of meals and the grocery list it makes

Your meals, your way.

With Pro, plan the trip’s meals from the food you like to cook. CampOwl turns the plan into the grocery list.

Your gear library, down to the last detail

Every item you add carries your own setup: its photo, its weight, its category and bin, even the conditions it packs under. Set it once, and every trip packs it by those rules.

CampOwl Settings showing Cloud Backup

Your trips and gear, backed up.

Turn on Cloud Backup with Pro. A copy of your trips and gear is kept with your account, ready to restore on a new device. If copies ever differ, you choose which one wins.

The emergency page of a CampOwl camp packet, showing a camp spot’s coordinates and emergency contact

Camp far out. Have peace of mind. Stay findable.

A dispersed spot has no address to give anyone. The trip sheet prints its exact GPS coordinates to leave with someone at home. With Pro, the camp packet adds an emergency page with those coordinates, your emergency contact, home base, vehicle, and plate. The details stay out of Cloud Backup unless you turn on the separate Include emergency details switch.

The CampOwl debrief for a finished trip: the charge it ended at against the plan, the power, water, and propane used, and the gear packed but unused
The debrief: what you used, and what was left over.
The CampOwl trip library globe with a pin on a saved trip
Finished trips join the library, pinned on the globe.

Every trip teaches the next one.

Every trip ends with a debrief, a short record of what you used and what was left over. CampOwl learns your patterns from it: overnight charge use in cold, mild, or warm weather, water and propane use, and which gear you actually use. The lessons come back as suggestions, and Pro applies them to new trips automatically.
